My wife has a new Mac Pro running Leopard of course, and we decided to change our backup strategy to use TimeMachine. For her, this is a great solution, because then she can very easily jump back to older versions of files she worked on. Our previous backup, which was a NAS I had rigged up, allowed for the same thing, but it was difficult to deal with and prone to disappearing off the network at the most inconvenient times.
Woohoo!!!! wait... You gotta have an iPhone? Why is this then not part of iTunes? Why is this in the actual OS and not iTunes then? Doing it in iTunes would have made it instantly available to windows and mac iPhone owners.
These two dumb shits put a cellphone in a microwave, but they really didn't get the results they were expecting. Nor did I... So what movie is this a viral for?
I use the Askimet plugin on this blog, as well as another, to help minimize the spam comments. I recently started to realize that I was getting no comments, and couldn't figure out why? So I checked my admin panel, and looked at the spam and plenty was there, and nothing that shouldn't be. So, today I just checked again, and there were a few that were legitimate comments, being marked as spam. Then I noticed the problem.
So my wife's mac blew up on friday @10am. She had a big project due monday. I figured it was the PSU, since that is what ALWAYS blows up. So what do you do?
Ok, I never actually saw this episode, but apparently 10 days prior to my post about Free Gas! Stephen Colbert had the same exact idea. On his segment, The Word, on May 5th, he suggests free gas as a way to just burn the supply, and solve the problem because it just won't exist anymore.
Take one giant leap forward on the Sci-Fi becoming reality timeline. Two separate Japanese companies, Mitsubishi Chemical and Sumitomo Chemical, claim to have each invented a way to spray on or paint on OLEDs. This would mean being able to literally buy a "can of TV" and just paint it onto your wall, in theory. On top of that, these OLEDs would actually power themselves buy utilizing the solar panel properties of the chemistry. So, in theory again, no power needed. They also both claim being only 2 years out from a fully functional prototype system...
Ok, i have a stellar plan to end vehicle generated pollution within a few years. Make gasoline free. Yep, thats it. Nothing more complicated than that. Or at least make it silly cheap. WHA! you say? That makes no sense you retort?
If you have ever signed up for truecredit.com, you probably somehow got screwed into a monthly subscription, which you probably didn't actually want. My usual rule is to not purchase a service that doesn't have an obvious way to cancel. Truecredit.com provides 1 and only 1 way to cancel. You have to call them, listen to some 6 buck an hour phone monkey that hard sells you reasons to stay. And from what I have read elsewhere, that they don't even cancel the service a lot of the time.
