Conspiracy to Commit Murder?

October 07, 2008 by: dave

I hate to bring up really horrible "what ifs", but frankly this ridiculousness of the McCain campaign inciting lynch mobs is getting out of hand.

Is it possible to charge an entire political campaign with Conspiracy to Commit Murder, or whatever the worse version is that probably exists regarding presidential candidates. When you get up on stage, and willfully cause a mass belief that a person is evil, and allow the crowd to run wold with it, you are intentionally attempting to cause harm to that person by proxy.

If either person gets harmed, Bill Ayers or Barack Obama, I don't just want to see the guy who did it get taken down, I want to see the entire McCain campaign get arrested. At the very least, you should be able to hit them with some version of Inciting Violence, but I would think that some version of Conspiracy could be pursued.

What really bugs me is how far we have fallen. The fact that on a regular basis, people are mentioning concerns that the crowds, or people in the crowds are going to take it too far and act, is insane. Is McCain really so without honor, that he cannot see that what he is doing is not harming Obama, but in fact harming the American people? I guess not. He must be either so protected from what is really going on, or his soul is out to lunch.

But, to get back to the unthinkable. On a side thought, if Obama was murdered, and the McCain campaign was charged with something that disqualified them from running, what the hell would happen to the race? Would Biden just win outright? Would Hillary step in, and whoever was the repub runner up take their places?

I also cannot understand how a few of my more intelligent republican hold-outs can even remotely defend the past few days. I guess a lot of folks really need their original horse to win, even if it's by way of making a deal with the devil. I pose this. Do you feel a better choice for president is someone you feel is underqualfied, or do you feel the better choice is someone who will lie and incite violence in order to win?

How come you are not worried about McCains life too? Maybe one of Ayers radicalized students will bomb the capital for old time sake. The only ‘bombs’ mccain ever threw were at the vietcong.

because there have been no specific, blatant comments from the Obama camp, riling up the crowd, causing the crowd to yell, Murder, Treason, Terrorist, all of which regarding Obama. Though the murder may have been aimed at Ayers, the others were not.

The anger towards the reporters who cover the event, even coming from the campaign itself is ridiculous. Thats why i think the reporters should just stop showing up for their rallies.

The hate filled rhetoric is turning off a lot of republicans now it seems as well.

Jeez Edgar, you’re starting to show partisan, simplistic analysis.

It is not the Obama supporters who are showing such easy and horrible hatred, racism, anger and irrationality - it is the McSame/Pain folks. And Grampy and Bambi are not doing anything to let these asswipes know that this is unacceptable behavior.
