End Pollution, Make gasoline free!

Currently people are too stupid in general to understand the true nature of the problem and politicians are way over-enslaved by the corporations that helped them get into power. So as a result, nothing actually gets done to end our oil dependence, and as a result, reducing pollution, and as a result, reducing the addition to global warming (though cattle are still a huge problem at least pollution will be reduced). Oil consumption is increasing at a ridiculous rate world wide.

There is only a fixed amount of the stuff in the planet, and it takes a REALLY long time to renew itself (think millions or billions of years here). You cannot deny that it will run out at some point. A finite resource being used eventually runs out, no matter what magical fantasy politician math you use. The argument is more a matter of when. Big oil and the politicians they own would have you believe centuries... lol.

For the sake of argument lets instead say 30-60 years, which is the most common estimate. What if we could make that 5 years? That would mean in 5 years we would have no choice but to pull our heads out of the literal sand and move on to better energy. But, My God! We would then be out of oil! What ever will we do as a society????

We will adapt. Things will change. People will get over it, and frankly, people might actually start to appreciate the clean air and will eventually think "good riddance to oil". There will be some discomfort, but in the end, we will figure it all out. Obviously this could never happen, but my point is, all this effort to conserve oil is just going to drag it out and make it last longer.

Instead, let everyone drive their gas guzzling SUVs and burn it all up as fast as possible. China is doing it's part... We need to ramp up our use also! Ah, the fumes will suck for a few years, but like a bandaid, I would rather have 5 years of horrible pollution instead of 60 years of bad pollution.
