First Augmented Reality app hitting iTunes for iPhone 3GS

July 13, 2009 by: dave

Nearest Tube is an augmented reality app for the iPhone 3GS, and I am pretty sure its the first one (though there is one that claims it, but its not really).

It’s a simple enough app which overlays signposts and arrows on your surroundings to point out the closest subway station from your location. Nothing special, but, it is a taste of what is to come I think. Only in the UK, but I don’t think it would be tough to add all the major cities?
