iTunes App Store, retarded 5th grader sorting method

Aside from the fact that the alphabetical sort is being ‘gamed’ by the craftier developers by putting punctuation in front of their titles, and now we are just down to spaces like ‘ sucky game’ showing up before Awesome Game, which makes the store annoying enough. But now the Release Date sort is making me feel like im in a time warp of crazy. Obviously stuff is sorted by release date, which means it might not be obvious, but I am seeing some things that were at the end of the release sort list 2 days ago, now appearing at the front. And, I am finding things in the middle of the release date sort that I have never seen. I can understand that I might have missed 1 or 2 things, but this is way more than that.

If you browse ALL iPhone applications, and you sort by release date, and you follow it for a few days, you will see what I mean. Are devs removing their app and then resubmitting it to jump forward? Is apple approving apps in a random fashion, and the app gets listed based on the release date to apple, not the release date to the public (which would make sense). I don’t care when apple got it, i care when it got made public. That is the release date. Can I set a release date? If so, I want to set a release date of 1 AD, that way I can be the last app in the list…
