I do not recall. I do not recall. I do not recall. Sounds like a freaking normal day in a federal hearing. Anyway... John Dowd was on a conference call with reporters today, and was asked about a specific part of the Keating 5 inquiry, regarding a Keating stripmall that McCain invested in.
Needless to say, he played the lie card, which is gettin SO much use lately.
"It was part of the inquiry, but it did not -- John was unconnected to that and unaware of it at the time, and did not participate in it," Dowd said.
Oh but the power of the internets come to the rescue... This is McCain in the 1991 hearing.
"Sometime in 1986, I was told by Mr. Delgado, who was Executive Vice President of my father-in-law's company, that they were going to invest in a shopping center and that the investment -- the project -- was being put together by a subsidiary of American Continental," McCain said. "He later told me that they -- that that had happened. And I had no interest in it and just noted in passing that this investment took place."
The man who asked the question? John Dowd. LOL!

.. and on the news today, McCain is quoted as saying, “Obama just tells lies. He must believe that if he says them loud enough and often enough then people will believe him.”
Um, I get the feeling that American public is not dumb enough to fall for this… but is McCain himself that dumb? Criminy, we have 4 more weeks of this horsesh!t to go!
