I sit around spacing out a lot. Trying to invent the next solution to the problems of the world, or at least my bank account. I also battle weight. So I had an idea for a diet.
I figure that the worst caloric bang for the buck, is probably something like butter or oil and the lowest calories per dollar would be something like celery. Anyway, i was thinking. What if you made a diet where it was solely based on money, specifically dollars. Like $1 per meal, and you get 6 meals a day. Try to pack as many calories into that dollar if you want, and I would assume you cant over eat for the day.Obviously each person would have a different dollar amount for different BMRs and how much you would want to lose, but the basic idea is that you only eat X-dollars per day.
So if you assume that the worst offender, of real food, is something like a candy bar, such as a snickers bar which is about 250 calories and costs $1, then you can say that a 2000 calorie diet would be about 8 bucks a day, probably 10 if you assume some attempt at eating healthy like veggies. Now of course, like any diet, you can cheat if you really want to, but eating only 1 dollar per meal, and being limited to a number of dollars a day, and requiring a wait of 30 minutes between meals, maybe would work. Even with a 400 calorie per dollar Double Cheeseburger from McDonalds.
Obviously this is just a stupid idea, but I started wondering if it could have some merit?
