Water repelant airplane coating

It is what is called a superhydrophobic material and which basicaly repells water like an fat drunk sweaty guy in a bar repels the ladies. It causes the water to ball up, and the water is not able to gain any traction on the surface because I think the surface tension of the water is never broken by the material. It was inspired by the way the Namib Desert beetle gathers water from the air, and as such, it might be possible to create a system using the material as a water collection system for desert environments. It also can be designed to guide the water along the surface to specific points, making it even more likely for water collection.

I want this for my car windshield and paint. You will almost never have to battle dirt on your car if this works the way i think it does. Dry cloth it off, and your done. Eyeglasses would be awesome too.
