Realistically, any of the existing devices would work perfectly fine, as long as you remember that they are not “accurate” for kids, but can only be used as an activity measurement from day to day. So, like Bob is insinuating, the fitbit numbers for Ashley are “wrong”, but if I had her wear it every day, the change from day to day would be an “indicator” of her up or down activity levels. match that with food tracking, sleep hours, etc, and you could start to form a picture of what helps your kid to be more active.

I am WAY too lazy to do that however. smarter, less busy folks are free to have at it.

very cool. I am really tempted to get one for her, and just always track her. Mostly because I think the data is nice when combined with other stuff. Im a bit of a data whore. The problem is that I worry about making her focused on weight and fitness too much, and making her have an eating disorder. The fact is, I probably do 10000 other things wrong that will drive her to it anyway. lol
